What is Cataract Co-Management?

At Yardley Vision Care, we provide services to patients with cataracts. As primary eye care providers, we are often the first to diagnose and notify our patients of cataracts.

Patients look to us for guidance from the moment we inform them of the presence of a cataract to the final treatment follow-up.

What is Included in Cataract Co-Management Services?

Some patients may show signs of developing cataracts, but are not yet candidates for surgery. The initial treatment for symptomatic cataracts may include updating your prescription (eyeglasses, contacts, or both). We can also provide you with other special lenses to help with contrast and decrease glare.

When loss of vision or glare problems from cataracts begin to affect the activities you do everyday, it may be time for a surgical consult.  Drs. Maisel and Brodkin  will help answer questions about cataract surgery, help make decisions about the implants that you will receive during the surgery, and monitor eye after the surgery.

What is LASIK Eye Surgery?

LASIK eye surgery is a procedure that reshapes the cornea, and as a result, corrects a patient’s vision. LASIK surgery is perfect for correcting the most common forms of vision impairment—myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism.

At Yardley Vision Care, we provide pre and post-LASIK co-management services.

What is LASIK Co-Management?

Deciding to get LASIK eye surgery is a big decision. Drs. Maisel and Brodkin can evaluate your eyes and educate you about vision correction. This will allow you to make the best, most informed decision possible regarding your LASIK procedure.
