Warranty Information

Yardley Vision Care has a one year manufacturer’s warranty on the frame and lenses purchased. In the event of breakage or damage due to everyday wear, repairs will be made if possible. A limited warranty may apply to some frames.

Lenses that are scratched or defective within the year of the date they were ordered will be replaced under warranty. Scratches must be in the line of vision or the optical center for the lenses to be covered and should not look like it was caused from improper handling. Any coatings that are breaking down or peeling will be replaced under warranty within one year. If a patient does not purchase the protection plan offered by their insurance company, the lenses will not be under warranty.

If a patient cannot see out of their current lenses or is having difficulty adapting to a new prescription, they can come back within 30 days of the date they were ordered to have them checked and remade if necessary. A patient can come back within 30 days of the date the glasses were ordered to receive a frame restyle at no charge. After 30 days, a 50% discount will be offered for any lens adjustment or frame change. After 3 months, there will be no discount for lens or frame changes.

Frames that are broken within one year of the date they were ordered will be replaced under a manufacturer’s warranty. A manufacturer’s warranty covers stripped screws, broken nose pads, broken hinges and temples, and discoloration or chipping of color. In order to receive a new frame, all pieces of the damaged frame must be returned to Yardley Vision Care. Frames that are on sale will not have a warranty.

Adjustments and repairs are available in our office for the life of the frame. As a service to our patients, we will adjust eyewear purchased elsewhere, as long as the eyewear is in reasonable and adjustable condition. Adjustments performed on glasses not purchased at Yardley Vision Care will be done at the patients risk and with no warranty for breakage.

Contact lenses can be exchanged or returned for credit if the boxes are unopened and unmarked. Contact lens boxes that are opened, damaged or expired may not be returned or exchanged.
